EUR: Christine Lagarde and Fabio Panetta will be speaking at the European Central Bank this morning at the G7 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors meeting in Stresa. Watch for market-moving announcements or policy hints impacting the Euro and European markets.
GBP: The focus today is on the UK’s MI releases at 9:30
AM. The S&P Global/CIPS Composite PMI is expected at 54, down slightly from 54.1. The Manufacturing PMI is forecasted to rise to 49.5 from 49.1, and the Services PMI is projected at 54.7, a slight dip from 55. A higher number could boost the pound, while a lower one may indicate continued struggles.
NZD: Later tonight, New Zealand’s Reserve Bank Governor Adrian Orr will speak at a business breakfast in Queenstown. He’ll be discussing the May Monetary Policy statement.
